Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Crowned Aramco STEM Racing World Champions 2026

The applause and happy tears were the culmination of years of hard work for LYNX RACING from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who celebrated winning the Aramco STEM Racing World Champions 2026 title at this year’s World Finals held at Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore. After four relentless days of competition, they had outscored, out-engineered, and out-thought every rival to claim a well-deserved victory. The title victory marks a first-time win for the country, joining only six other nations as World Champions in the history of the competition.

aiXplosion from Germany secured second place overall, while Spectrum, also representing Germany completed the podium in third.

In addition to the overall World Champions title, the team secured further recognition across multiple award categories winning the Scuderia Ferrari HP supported Team Identity Award and receiving nominations for the Best Application of Project Management, Best Engineered Car, Sponsorship & Marketing, Verbal Presentation and Research & Development Award, a reflection of the depth and consistency of their performance throughout the competition.

Winning the title required excellence across every area of competition. Inspiring teams of young people to design, engineer, manufacture, and race miniature Formula 1 cars, STEM Racing is a team challenge that engages young students.  Over four intense days, teams were evaluated by a 100-strong international judging panel made up of experts from STEM, motorsport, education, engineering, marketing, and global industry. Judging criteria left nowhere to hide with engineering excellence, aesthetic design, project management discipline, enterprise acumen, teamwork under pressure, verbal presentations, and racing performance all contributed to the final scores.

The Knockout Racing Finals delivered a climax worthy of the occasion. In a head-to-head showdown (name of team/country) claimed victory, with a moment of nerve-holding lightning-quick reaction from the driver and pure speed from the team’s car to take the chequered flag.

One of the standout highlights of this year’s Aramco STEM Racing World Finals came from Quasar, Hong Kong whose car recorded the fastest race time of the event at an astonishing 1.025 seconds,

The standard of competition this year has been extraordinary. A first-time win for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at an Aramco STEM Racing World Finals is a testament to their hard work and dedication to develop the programme and nurture their students to success.
