Inspiring creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills, it builds a strong foundation for lifelong learning - and is the ideal springboard to continued exploration through STEM Racing Secondary.
how does It work?
Set your youngest students on the fast track to STEM success
STEM Racing Primary starts with a simple challenge: teams of 3–6 students design and build their own paper car. But that’s just the starting line.
Students enhance their designs for speed, create custom liveries, build pit displays, deliver presentations, manage their projects, and even seek local sponsorship.
Along the way, they gain real-world skills, tackle STEM concepts hands-on, and experience the excitement of learning by doing -together.
What’s Involved
Teams create their own body shell - designing front/rear wings and side pods to add to the ready-made chassis
Using scissors or a cutter plotter, students cut their chosen shapes and glue them together
Produce a five-page Design & Engineering portfolio
Deliver a five-minute verbal presentation
Learn the basic principles of project management and how to use them
Equipment & Software
STEM Racing Primary Starter Pack (this contains everything a class of up to 50 students needs to begin – including perforated card to make the car chassis, along with axles, axle guides and wheels)
