Taking first place at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals is no easy feat. With competition from our top teams from across the globe, the standard is high, the pressure immense, and the preparation intense. However, the reward is worth all the effort, and more.
A year on from winning, Liam, Manufacturing Engineer of Lunar, sat down to reflect on his STEM Racing journey and just what it took for his team to claim the World Champions title - from the question that got him hooked on the competition to the mantra that took the team from third to first place within 12 months.
Having experienced the competition first-hand as a World Champion, Liam returned to STEM Racing this year in a new capacity, joining us as a volunteer at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2026. Bringing his knowledge, experience and passion for the competition, he was a brilliant source of support and encouragement for this year’s teams, and we can’t wait to see what the next twelve months has in store for him.
