Formula 1 has spotlighted STEM Racing in its first-ever sport-wide Social Impact Report, recognising the global impact of an initiative that uses the excitement of motorsport to inspire the next generation of engineers and innovators.
Bringing together the collective contribution of Formula 1, the FIA, all 10 teams and 24 race promoters during the 2025 season, the report reveals that more than 500,000 young people across 71 countries accessed and benefited from Formula 1 programmes designed to educate, inspire and open pathways into the sport.
Among the report's highlights is STEM Racing, which now engages more than 29,000 schools globally each year, providing young people with opportunities to develop engineering, technology, enterprise and teamwork skills through the excitement of motorsport.
As STEM Racing, supported by Formula 1, our 26-year programme continues to go from strength to strength, with 2025/26 marking our biggest year to date - an achievement which culminated in the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals 2026, held in Singapore from 3–8 October, and an event which brought together a record-breaking 437 students from 36 countries to celebrate the talent, creativity and innovation of the next generation.
Commenting on STEM Racing's inclusion in Formula 1's landmark report, Anabelle Denford, Partnerships Director at STEM Racing, said:
“We are delighted to be included in this fantastic report by Formula 1 - our longstanding supporter, our invaluable partner, they have championed all we do for as long as we have done it and, when we look back at our two-decade-plus history of working together, we are beyond proud of all we have achieved together - for the past twelve months, and all that came before.”
Formula 1's report highlights the power of motorsport to inspire young people, develop future talent and create opportunities across the industry.
Alongside its recognition of STEM Racing, the report celebrates a number of achievements across the sport during 2025, including:
More than 500,000 young people reached through education, STEM and inspiration programmes across 71 countries.
More than 1,000 skills and talent development opportunities highlighting motorsport and related industries.
A renewed £2.4 million investment in the Formula 1 Engineering Scholarship Programme, extending support through to the 2028/29 academic year.
At STEM Racing, we share this ambition. Through a unique blend of engineering, science, technology and enterprise, we give young people the opportunity to experience the world of motorsport while developing the skills and confidence that can take them into a wide range of future careers.
We are incredibly proud to be part of Formula 1's first-ever sport-wide Social Impact Report and grateful for the continued support of our partners, schools, teachers and the global STEM Racing community.
